Mission & History
EST. 2023
Bolm Arts is an artist-run, non-profit collective and gallery dedicated to strengthening Austin’s creative community through exploration, collaboration, and equitable opportunity. We provide artists across experiences levels and disciplines with a platform through an alternative gallery space and collective mentorship to bring creative visions to life. Our mission amplifies the voices of artists across Austin and Central Texas, ensuring broader access to artistic resources while supporting the continued growth of the greater arts community.

The Bolm Arts Story
Bolm Arts was born out of resistance, imagination, and the deep belief that art should never be gatekept by privilege. It began in a reclaimed warehouse in East Austin, where a group of artists who couldn’t find a seat at the table built their own. What started as a shared space for expression and collaboration quickly grew into a home for artists seeking creative freedom, support, and shared purpose.

Today, Bolm Arts remains an artist-run collective in both structure and spirit. Our members curate exhibitions, host workshops, and lead community events that bring our shared values to life. We continue to evolve through the ideas, energy, and stewardship of our members, collaborators, sponsors, and the community who make it possible.

At our core, we believe art is a language of belonging and celebration. We exist to hold space for artists to take risks and for community to gather through shared creative experiences. We don’t simply present art, we invite people into it. Together, we celebrate the process, the people, and the places that shape Austin’s vibrant and evolving art culture.
