ARTIST STATEMENT:
I am interested in making art that brings small moments, the every man, our daily rituals,
into a place of reverence. Primarily an oil painter, I center on portraiture and still life as the narrative cornerstones for larger thematic concepts which are accented through sculpture and multi-media pieces. My aim is to create a web of striking separate works whose combined effect includes the multi-faceted experience of life, with all its nostalgia, drama, humor, mundanity,
and ridiculousness.
