BOLM ARTS PRESENTS: COMETRY

 

COMETRY is a blend of comedy and performance poetry. We use art to dive into necessary conversations around mental and emotional health, diversity appreciation, leadership skills, unconscious biases and social skills. 

On view in the gallery”Future Visionaries: The Next Generation of Artists in Austin” showcasing the talent and creativity of students from the Liberal Arts and Sciences Academy! The Liberal Arts and Science Academy, our neighbor in East Austin, is a four-year comprehensive, public, urban, advanced academic magnet high school of approximately 1,450 students in the Austin Independent School District. The LASA Fine Arts program mission is to provide students with opportunities to grow personally, to develop their skills and talents, to form relationships with others, and to contribute to something bigger than themselves.

Join COMETRY at Bolm Arts as we laugh, learn, and build a collective connection. Growing is the goal, their classroom just happens to be a stage! This project is
supported in part by the City of Austin Economic Development Department.

Bolm Arts is an artist-run nonprofit dedicated to fostering radical inclusivity and collaboration within the Austin art community. We provide artists with a platform by offering an alternative gallery space as well as the support and mentorship of experienced members, ensuring that artists can effectively bring their creative vision to life. Our mission amplifies diverse artists across cultures, ages, socioeconomic backgrounds, and experience levels to enrich and evolve the vibrant landscape of Texas art.
