ARTIST STATEMENT:
I am an Austin-based multimedia artist working primarily in analog photography, focusing on fleeting moments in nature and the emotional spaces between memory
and reality. In a digital age of impermanence, I use film to preserve the intangible, emphasizing print as a medium with both physical and emotional depth.
My work invites viewers into intimate, layered narratives—moments that evoke nostalgia and reflection. Each photograph acts as a portal, fostering personal connections and universal truths while encouraging a slower, more thoughtful engagement with life’s delicate impermanence.
As a Mexican-American artist, I aim to amplify underrepresented voices in photography, challenging conventions and bringing diverse cultural perspectives to the forefront. Ultimately, I strive to create work that transcends documentation, offering a meditative, emotional experience that fosters dialogue across cultures and generations.
