ARTIST STATEMENT:

My abstract work centers on the deconstruction and reconstruction of familiar objects and scenes. Drawing from memories and photographs, I create layered compositions filled with pattern, transparent washes, and bold, contrasting color. These paintings function as distilled remnants or fragmented echoes and souvenirs of lived experience.

By dismantling recognizable forms and reassembling them into new visual structures, I invite viewers to reconsider their perception of reality and engage with a more abstract, dreamlike interpretation of the world. My recent work has taken on a more surrealist tone, exploring how perception and the unconscious mind shape the way we experience our surroundings.
